I started dancing at 25. Yup, that's right!
Began with a small school and worked really hard. In about six months I began competition in the "Overs" Depending on the competition the age group changed from O12,O14 etc...
Within the second year I transfered to a more competitive school with a great TCRG. I spent this past year in Prilim championships O16/O17 and have now moved into Open Championships. It can be done. Lots and lots of hard work, personal dedication to daily practicing and having a great teacher who motivates you helps. I danced my very first Oireachtas just last week and was thrilled to recall.
You CAN start at any age. Go for it! and Godd Luck to you!
