ich nehme die frage mal ab, nein julian casablancas ist kein künstlernahme, sein vater hiess ja schon john casablancas und ist der boss von der elite model agentur. julian ist aber überhaupt nicht gut auf ihn zu sprechen. (was ja auch verständlich ist bei so einer korupten angelegenheit.)seine mutter war übrigens mal miss dänemark er hat also eine spanisch-dänisch-amerikanische abstammung.
ich mag die strokes im übrigen auch und so was "altes" machen die meiner meinung nicht (und da steh ich mit dieser meinung anscheinend alleine in der welt)denn auf room on fire hat es ne menge tracks auf denen der verstärker auf extremste weise "verändert" wurde, dass hauptsächlich beim spiel von nick valensie. ich finde es einfach nicht sooo typisch retro, wo bleibt denn da die hammond orgel? vergleiche mann mal mit mando diao, die machen wirklich retro musik, aber ich mag sie sehr. ach ja, wenn du room on fire magst höhr dir mal "is this it" an. ich halte es auch für das bessere album von den strokes.
nico, new york new york ist wirklich ein toller song (ja, ich meine new york new york von ryan adams). der mann ist, wie unser lieber herr frusciante auch extremstens produktiv.
