Ok, I"ve been thinking about the trip to see the meteor showers and I'm figuring out the details. Detail the first: place- Mr. Benek (spelling?) has this place up in Mt. laguna (from what I remember) that we can camp out at. I don't know exactly where it is as of now, but I'll get back to you one that. Detail the second: time- it should take about an hour to get to the mountain and an additional hour if we want to go up it. We will definately want to get there before dark so we can set up camp. It gets dark around 5:15. This means we would have to be gone by about three. If we want to go out for dinner, it wouldn't be a bad idea to leave AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE! (I'm talkin' like 2:05 here) Detail the third: what to bring- Plan on it being pretty cold so bring a jacket or two and wear pants, warm ones. As far as camping goes: bring a tent or plan ahead to stay in someone else's, bring a sleeping bag (I have some extra good ones if you need one), a flash light (no, not you, Rocco), a good blanket wouldn't be a bad idea, a SMALL chair (I prefer laying down, personally), it wouldn't hurt to bring a tarp and rain poncho because there is a chance that it will rain, and most importantly.....deoderant. nobody wants to smell you on the way home. If you get car sick, bring some dramamine. Also bring some water and I'm not sure exactly what the deal with food is, so I'll get back to you with that. We could either have everyone bring their own food or I was thinking we could make a fire and bring some hot dogs marshmallows and have the classic campfire meal. And all the while the Biogeek could explain to use in a scientific matter why cooking over a fire is so fun. Oh that crazy mysterious Biogeek! Ok, yeah, so if you've any questions, don't hesitate to ask someone else. But if they don't have the answer, I'll be available through the BBS or by email: BreakfastSteve96@aol.com.
