Subject: recent output

while i enjoyed the earlier stuff at the time, i feel that joya, i see a darkness, the gitanjali cd, and ease down the road are significantly more coherent and powerful than what came before (with the exception of viva). in my opinion the first two albums now sound, in comparison, weak and contrived. these recent songs are even stronger performed live. I've seen him twice recently as bonny and once w/Marquis de Tren, and the records don't do him (and the great loose bands behind him) justice.
