Subject: Buds on my Epiphyllums

I seem to have some flower buds forming on my Epiphyllums. I have no luck with these things normally - this is the first time ever I've had decent flowers on my Christmas Cactus - so they're probably going to fall off, aren't they? Is there anything I should be doing to try and keep them safe till they open? Looking forward to seeing what colour they are - I grew them from seed. Is it only the flat leaves that will have flowers on? I have a lot of cactus-type leaves as well.
