Subject: madagascar palm

We have a madagascar palm that is growing inside. It is about 4 feet tall, and we recently transplanted it into a larger pot without any problems. We have had a problem in that as the new growth comes on, the tips of the leaves begin to turn black. What would cause this? It has done this in the past, but then it will come around and the new leaves will be green and nice, but now it's starting this again.
