　　基本上聖餐代表了上主對人無條件的接納，因為祂邀請所有人來赴祂為我們所預備的筵席，所以連出賣主的猶大也可以坐席；然而另一方面，也由於聖餐要記念的是主的死亡和救恩，也是不容輕忽的，所以從早期教會開始，就已經訂下一些領聖餐的原則，如只是已受洗的才可接受聖餐，也防止了其它不必要的問題出現，因為就如最後晚餐一樣，當時的聖餐是與晚膳一起舉行的，有些人只是為了吃飯而來聖餐，這種情況保羅在林前也有提及．
　　因此我個人認為，上主日的安排也不失是取其平衡的做法，讓未受洗卻有心的人也可以與其它已受洗的信徒一起領受上主的恩典，所以聖餐其實也是合一的重要標記來的．
