Thanks, I think I've seen that one before, and had tried without success to find out if it was actually used by the team. Fortunately the story to which you have linked reads in part:

"Scott and B.T. grabbed one of the really old helmets - put a fresh coat of silver paint on it and brought it to the office. Our "W" helmet decals had not arrived yet - so we asked Randy what to do. He tossed us a square mailing label out of his desk drawer and said "just stick that on there and get it sent"

- which apparently confirms that Westmar did not actually use this design (the one with the rectangular logo).

Westmar is, I think, the most recently discontinued team for which I have not been able to add even a single helmet design to the website. It never ceases to amaze me that a team active as recently as 1997 (less than two years before the 'Helmet Project' website was initiated!) could vanish so thoroughly from the internet.

A few mostly low-quality videos have been uploaded to youtube showing the team in action. In this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-aU3C2frwE

it appears that Westmar is using plain silver helmets in 1987, with a blue/white/blue set of stripes. The facemask color is unclear though, and I cannot tell whether they are gray or blue or a mixture of the two.

People have sent me photographs from the collection at the Arizona restaurant almost since I started the website in 1999. Unfortunately the curation of the collection seems to be quite poor, so I think any information gathered from it should be used cautiously. For example, the helmet labelled "WILMIMGTON" [sic] in this photograph is quite obviously an old Bucknell design; not even the colors are right for Wilmington College.
