Subject: 2018 U Sports & FBS helmets - Weeks 0 & 1

It’s time once again for college football season, and it’s time once again for summaries of college football helmet orders. What strange designs are we going to see this year?

For those of you new to these orders: each football team will have a series of letters assigned that represents the order of helmets as denoted on the Helmet Project site. For America’s Football Bowl Subdivision (or Division I-A), most teams will have twelve of these letters in order, not counting the playoffs or bowls the teams will enter should they do so. Similarly for Canada’s U Sports (or CIS), eight letters will appear, not counting the playoffs. The most common helmet for a team that doesn’t have these orders is assigned “A” by default, with other designations alphabetically to follow… and for some teams, even 26 letters isn’t enough.

Links to an individual photograph or the team’s photo gallery will appear for any completely new designs each week & at the end of the season if any of them have not appeared on the site since then. If there are any letters appearing that are not available for a certain team yet, refer to a previous year’s set of orders in a separate older thread which has the missing letters & their corresponding designs.

Without further ado, here were the helmets used for the FBS and U Sports in Weeks 0 and 1 for 2018. Check for any errors and report them if you find any.

Apologies for the late upload. This year I will have less time to get all the orders complete, so they will not be punctual. However, I still intend to complete the year. For now, the U Sports orders are done for week 2 with only one new design.
