The first tie breaker is head to head competition. If that is even (as in the case of IUPUI vs. Valpo), it then goes to the team's record against the next best team on down the line.

Valpo has split with ORU, UMKC, IUPUI and Centenary. So if, say, Valpo and IUPUI finish tied for first with four losses, it would be each team's record against the third-place team. Without looking anything up, I think it would be best for Valpo then for Chicago State to finish third - assuming Valpo beats them in the regular-season finale at the ARC. That would make Valpo 2-0 vs. Chicago State, while IUPUI is 1-1.

After that, I don't know what they go to. I know way, way down the line in the tiebreaker system, it goes down to a coin flip. But I don't think that's ever happened before.
