Even though I too am very dissappointed on how this season has gone (so far) I think booting Kampe out is a bit extreme. My pet peeve about him this season is not his coaching style (even though their defense leaves a lot to be desired) but the way he often pampers his star player who is none other than Helms. I understand that he has been important to the university as being to one who has begun the pipeline from the PSL to OU but it is time to put the state of the program before the player and that has not been done this year at all. Even Langolis has pointed it out in his article and that is probably why the team is having chemistry problems.

OU FAN is right. There has been some key injuries this year (Hopes, Marshall) that we can't be too quick to forget but I want to wait and see what happens next year when Mr. superstar Helms is gone and there is no real go to player. Marshall and Scott will head the team but they are more all around athletes and not a straight shooter like Helms so maybe this will force them all to play together as a team instead of a one or two man show. If Kampe does not get it done in that situation next year then perhaps it is time for him to depart.
