Time

Time is tick, tick, ticking away.
Ten past two now what should I do?
Go and take a pill which would fell this lifeless space?
Not in this case.
It would not last but instead cast something that would be over fast.
Am I listing to The Clash?
Or is it just from someone long lost past.
But should I just bash my head in with this brick?
I can’t even stand the little prick from the stick that the doctors give.
But he still lives in this town where the sun never goes down
And your found and lost again when you swing the tin
That falls off the fin of the fish that is now your new dish
On the plate that holds your new found fate from the date
That is taking to damn long and you know its way to wrong
For you to be here with this guy who just called you a queer
And would not steer to the right before you started a fight
Even though you know that it wouldn’t be right
And that’s when you notices the kite that just took flight
IN the hand of the kid who was known as a skid by the fink
That made you think about the time that is tick, tick, ticking away!
