I resolve to change things this year,
and do the things I hold most dear.
Naturally that includes writing poetry,
that could go without saying, you see.

Also to spend more time with my family,
something to which they always agree.
Onward and upward with our lives,
hope all guys do that with their wives.

No more kneeling in front of the toilet bowl,
I've got my life totally under control.
A living example, something I will be,
you can read about it in my poetry.

No callous coldness toward the nation,
just fulfilling all of my dedication.
That none of these resolutions will be broke,
there'll be no more Jim Beam in my Coke.......
