dtort, Lawzy mussy I do have some stories, but ordinary words, even pictures/videos cannot convey what this thing was all about and what it did. You'd have to see it. I've been through hurricanes but this was beyond imagination.

We had made up our mind to ride out the storm here at home. Made all the necessary preps, food, water, generator and gas, etc. Around midnight Sun. Aug 28, when that sucker was a cat 5, I asked the Ol' Lady if she wanted to reconsider our decision to stay. Nope. I gotta tell you, the pucker factor was pretty darn high. It really didn't matter, by that time, we were already experiencing hurricane force winds and probably couldn't have gotten out if we had wanted to. We just resigned ourselves to whatever will be, will be and we'll do it together. We knew this place was going to get slammed. It was just a matter of how badly.

There were many thousands who did get slammed badly. We've been able to get around to see most places along the coast including the worst hit areas as well as along the Biloxi portion of Highway 90. There is absolute, total devastation everywhere.

More later.
