It shows the speed at which you are connected. Mine varies
from 1000bps (when cable is busy) to 5000bps. It's usually instantanous unless the website is having trouble,
LIKE VOY.COM, Lol. I can get Drudge, Weather.com, other bbs
like Goldwing's, Huck's, Zendevils etc but sometimes it takes voy a minute or so to come up. I have another 'puter with dial up modem that I use when (only happened once so far) cable goes down. the same test shows 44bps Ha Ha, Of course I have a 56K V1 modem. Sometimes it goes as low as 30bps.
