In keeping with my contempt of the liberal leaning...or should I say bulldozing...major network news anchors, it shickles the tit out of me that mr peter jennings(lack of caps is intentional) may be getting his comeuppance.

Jennings, a Canadian citizen, is blamed for keeping Toby Keith from performing on the big 4th of July thingy on ABC tv. He said the song "The Red, White and Blue" wouldn't be appropriate. He said it was too violent or words to that effect.

The "other" news agencies are reporting that Toby Keith's new album which has the song in question on it has already sold waaay over 300K copies in the first week. Were the high sales figures as a result of the publicity or because the "average" American liked the message in the song? I dunno. Personally, I don't care for Toby Keith's style, although I'm a devout, knowledgeable fan of country music. I do love the fact that mr peter jennings(no caps is intentional...again) is getting the song shoved into his non-American face. Who the hell is he to decide what American audiences will consider too violent?

My rant for this cloudy, rainy, humid Gulf Coast day.
