 Spin, I am so glad I saved your original message about my poem "Ian"!! Thought I'd bookmarked the Poetry Periculum and hadn't. (sigh)

Anyway, here's a little piece that sprang into my head this morning.

The Shadow Knight

He walks in shadow as the knight
To protect his lady-love...
Through cryptic knowledge he
Leads her
Toward destiny.
Hers... or theirs?
Together always, yet always
A separation,
Bonded for eternity --
Yet she denies him peace.
And he sighs
And walks in shadows...
The knight.
