Ian paused again. His fingers were becoming stiff once more, at leasted the pencil was still as good as ever. The wind picked up and the room grew cold. He went to the balcony and closed the french double doors. The fire flickered as he shut away the draft. Kneeling, Nottingham placed another log into the fire.

Your Power Over Me
My lady you know not your power.
At your presence the earth holds its breath.
Your ever step across man made streets echo.
The wind never misses an opportunity to touch your face.
You mesmerize me....

Hope Upon Hope
I hope upon hope.
A child hoping for snow in the desert.
Yet I find hope is all I have.
For all my skill, I know nothing of your world.
I've never had the joy of holding anothers hand,
of taking a long walk in the park with no intent.
I've never had the pleasure to know love.
It's a miracle that I feel what I do for you.
Was it someones hope upon hope that I become human?
If that is true...
I am satisfied with hope.

The Wall Between Us
This front, this sheet of ice, the stone wall of your distain is probably what is best for you.
With the sure protection you have, I can't hurt you.
I am disgusted to say that I am aware of the power that I can.
Your indifference makes you wary of me.

What would happen to your views on me if you knew of what darkness lies in my heart?
I enjoy to kill.
The thrill of violence is something that I relish in.
I know that my likes go against your morals.
They will envoke more reasons to hate and distrust me.
I can't help but believe that would be true.
