 As I close my eyes the image of our beauty keeps me from drowning
Drowning in pools of despair, sorrow, and for the time being death.
With the little soul I have let, if I had any to begin with

That longs to control you

Now as I watch from above
You stroll through a busy square, among your element
A place so full of happiness and love
A place I am not familiar with, a place I am not wanted
Only permitted to watch and never to approach
And so I sit apart from your world, among my own element of shadows.
