I have never been to church.
But that doesn't mean I don't believe.
For the longest time
I thought that men were alone in the world.
There was no higher power.
Yet looking at her,
I can see that here is something.
A supreme being
capable of good matching mortal evils.
Lord, would you hear
the prayer of an assassin?
One who takes lives with joy...
but is ever plagued with regret?
I know not why I feel morose.
If it is for myself
or the ones left behind by my deeds.
Would you ever think to forgive?
You've sent down an angel to judge all.
She sees not me for all I am.
If you do exist,
then that would mean that you see all?
When I am to die,
tonight, tomorrow, years from now?
Will you at least grant me to be with her?
Or perhaps the assurence
that she would be in safe hands,
especially if they are yours?
I don't ask for anything,
but perhaps a chance.
If you cannot give me either,
at least let your messanger see.
I am not going to work against her...
or your work
