"Theft in the Night"
The night was cold,
an icy kiss to a corpse.
I, the shade of death lurked.
My flesh was against stone,
I was cold.
You were safe.
Wrapped in heat.
In the center of the sun.
Enveloped tightly,
in ANOTHER'S embrace.
From the deep dark of my ice,
the sun flared.
I felt the hot touch of your hand.
You skin against his...or was it mine?
Lines blurred.
I was melting...
I was lost... lost in some illusion
of your body.
It was then that I began to thaw.
I felt heat.
I began to burn.
For you.
For me.
For jealousy.
Shame, I should have been shamed.
I deserved to be sliced in two.
I am a thief in the night.
Somehow, I stole an ultimate treasure.
Something perhaps not meant to be mine...
"I just got it..."
I made a wish.
I didn't listen to the saying.
I was filled with the such...
rage.
He touched her skin,
parts that I've never seen
or dared to think of.
He did so without thought,
without knowing what sacred woman
he wrapped his arms about.
I couldn't stop the emotions.
I fought as long and hard as I could.
A battle meant to be lost.
It was all to easy to loose.
His hand in her hand.
His lips against hers.
His body next to her body...
MORE THEN I CAN BEAR!
I wanted him dead.
The only thing that could stop
the madness, the fits of anger
the hopelessness, the helplessness
was for him to be gone.
I wanted him away from her...
And then fate listened,
laughing over all of its puppet strings.
He did die.
In her arms.
Her blood mixed with his blood.
Her body next to his body.
It was more then I could bear...
Her tears against his cold skin.
Her voice to the empty air.
I wasn't careful.
I got what I wanted.
I wished what I wanted.
And now I got it.
