I assume you're referring to the Lawrence Phillips incident back whenever that was ('95?). And while Beck's response to that was inexcusable, the problem didn't end with her. Lest you forget, Thunder Collins was arrested for smacking Shannon Howell around in a similar "footballer beats up women's basketball girlfriend" incident just last summer. And what did he get for it? Dropped charges, a one-game suspension by his coach, and "anger management" counseling. And I never heard a word about the incident publicly from women's basketball coach Paul Sanderford, although at least Howell was allowed to remain on the team. (sarcasm)

And I agree; if I were Pacific, Wynn would be my top choice of the three left. I don't think Jackson would be a bad choice either. I don't know enough about Beck to comment on her personality, but she never impressed me as a coach; she only earned three NCAA berths in 11 seasons at Nebraska (1988, '93, and '96, going 1-3 in the tournament itself), and she generally got very little out of what was a pretty good group of talent in San Jose. She probably would have been fired from that job if the ABL hadn't folded first.
