Subject: Mens Semis Complete

While the first half of yesterday was all about blowouts, the second half was all tight affairs. UC Santa Barbara improved to 18-10 by squeaking by a tough Cow Poly squad 74-65. The Mustangs finished 15-12. And UC Irvine, with the second best record in the conference, edged a pesky Long Beach State team 72-65. Irvine is a half-game better than UOP at 21-9, while the 49ers fell to 13-17?!? Just a couple of years ago, LBSU was the class of the conference. What happened?

Anyways, UCSB will play UCI for a slot in the finals at about 8:30 tonight. That's after UOP demolishes Utah State at 6. GO ELI K!!! GO TIGERS!!!
