Subject: Quest are Chilled again

Any concerns that the Minnesota Chill would be rusty after an almost two-week layoff were firmly put to rest last night as they once again crushed the St. Louis Quest 3-1 (25-14, 25-22, 21-25, 25-22). The Quest fell to 2-5. The Chill maintained their three-match lead over the Chicago Thunder, who beat the also 2-5 Grand Rapids Force 3-1. The Thunder evened their record at 3-3. The Chill went to 7-1 and are running away with the league title like the old Cleveland Browns in the AAFC. No match stats were available. Meanwhile, cumulative stats from a couple of weeks ago have been put out. The immortal Addie Mahnken, the awesome Minnesota libero and former UOP middle blocker, leads the USPV in digs with 62 through the first 5 matches, and digs per match with 12.4. Current standings follow.
