Subject: Spanos Prep Quadrupleheader

Saw part of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I quadrupleheader on Tuesday at the Spanos Center.
DeMarcus Nelson, a 6-2 sophomore superstar, put on a show for Vallejo in a win over Modesto. He's sure to be recruited by every major program in the country.
Defending champion Modesto Christian beat Armijo of Fairfield. 6-8 senior forward Davis Paris, bound for Cal, has the prototypical NBA body. The Crusaders have played the entire season without Richard Midgley (Cal) and Marc Pratt (Boise State). 6-5 swingman Bobby Cole has taken up some of the slack. For Armijo, 6-0 senior guard Akeem Holland looked like he has some college potential. And 6-6 junior Aaron Von Bockemann will get some looks next year.
Lodi, with Eli Kiedrowski's 6-1 younger brother Ezra leading the way, beat Tokay as 6-5 Jeff McDaniel played his last game.
Top-seeded Sheldon ended the evening with a less-than-impressive win over Lincoln of Stockton.
Any of the four remaining teams could win it all.
