1. Cow Poly sucks.

2. Nobody wants to play with the Manure Pile; they are also very happy getting to the D-II semis every year and flaming out.

3. Long Beach would need to entice Todd Dillon out of Lodi High and run his Wishbone/Run-and-Shoot hybrid to have even a ghost of a chance.

4. Foolerton MIGHT work.

5. N. Colorado would actually be a great choice, but they may not want to go to CA every week.

6. UCSB will never have a football team. They're too happy having the dirtiest basketball team ever [and the dirtiest player, too (Lindsay Taylor)].

7. St. Mary's is just a bunch of cheap shot artists. Nobody wants to deal with that.

8. CSUN just gave up the ghost. There's no way they're brining back football any time soon.

9. S. Utah can't hang with Sac State.

10. San Jose St. is too happy getting their butts kicked by everyone except Stanford to join these guys.

11. Sac St. is very happy in the Big Sky.

12. The Big West officiating sucked. What's there to keep that from happening again?

And, I'm sure that others like Jon or La Parka can come up with umpteen other reasons. UOP's best shot is to play Sac and Montana in the Sky. (That is, assuming we can talk the idiot regents and de Rosa into it!) Meanwhile, let's just be happy watching Gio Carmazzi with the 49ers, John Fassel beating the Manure Pile with New Mexico-Highlands, the immortal Addie Mahnken with the world champion Minnesota Chill, and Andrea Nederostek and Megan Hauschild winning B-Ball and V-Ball titles for UOP. GO TIGERS!!!
