I think Hue will be our head coach when Marvin's contract is up at the end of the season. Or Gruden head coach, Hue OC.

The Bengals are creatures of habit. Bill "Tiger" Johnson was promoted from farther down in the ranks over Bill Walsh to head coach
and when they brought in Forrest Greg, a guy with head coaching experience in a suckky situation, namely Cleveland.

But using MikeBrownthink, it all fits...
1) Marvin has to be wearing thin with his inability to take it to the next level after all these seasons.
2) Guy with NFL head coaching experience on staff in a bizarre flunky position AND even cheap because of Oakland picking up the tab...
but under contract to the Bengals.
3) Insurance if Gruden does leave to be a head coach and Hue OC if nothing else. HEY- promote Gruden and Hue the OC... also very plausible.
4) Hue is not only has Bengal roots and ties but is now beholding to Mike. (ref bringing back Coslet after the Jets debacle).
5) Marvin's contract not extended (yet). Unlike Oakland, Mike is not going to get rid of a guy and pay him to coach somewhere else.

Etc.

The ilk of conspiracy theory but it all fits.
I am not buying the Marvin for GM theory BUT can see it if he retires and turns the reigns over to Katie. Marvin was her choice, not Mike's.

But my thinking is one way or another, Marvin will not be the Bengals head coach after this season.
