Even ol' Roy talked about he was "surprised" by how his team was "dominated" in that aspect. I fell asleep at halftime (just had finished my 24(+)-hour 2-'day''mon/tues' shift) so I actually didn't catch the 2nd half (yet), but you've put your finger on that the drives & dishes & dunks, etc must be how that happened, since we lack the true offensive postup center presence.

24/46 on 2s I like, 4-17 3s possibly reflects the emphasis by the 'Heels on the commitment to harassing the perimeter. Even 6/17 to attain the requisite 33-ish % target for those would have likely avoided the barnburner it turned out to be.

Of course, stepping out to guard 3s often leads to that dribble penetration, hence the genius of the dribble-drive offense that Calipari utilizes. I have to think this was a primary target game the UNC squad burned for all offseason & leading up to in preparation.

Teague cut waaay down on his turnovers this game after throwing it all over the place up to now, plus T Jones had probably his worst game yet, largely due to the D focus Roy put on stopping him. He's seemingly stepped on up into a different "Player of the Year" class so far.
