Subject: Well, we're going to know there whether Jets won or lost
In reply to: bfny 's message, "honestly...to heck with the scenarios" on 10:12:06 12/28/11 Wed

... somewhere around the middle of the first quarter, so if it's a Miami win (which I expect) then we'll be scoreboard watching to beat the band for either/or Oakland or Denver losing. How do you not do that as a fan? My point was that I want them all 3 to just lose, baby, regardless of the calculus.

Sure the players will run up to the game as won or done because they simply can't assume anything about Jets/Miami, nor should they (although the ratbirds won't have quite the same mindset) but it's just not the case in the race for the 6-seed. The Bengals can "lose in" & still face the true elimination scenario in Houston.

Having said that, I'm expecting an outcome where all 3 phases of the Tissue Paper Tigers come together for all 4 quarters to methodically & fundamentally overwhelm the rats & MAKE MY WHODEY!!.

Gresham & Urkel join Green with 5+ catches each and the Dunlap/Atkins/Fanene/Johnson DL platoon hounds Flacco into one of his signature sub-par road flameouts. Pacman makes a big punt return or two & DBs seem to be finding enough of a groove behind the ++ pass rush to carry the day & somehow/some way Benson manages not to fumble the game away.
