Is Belichik no longer a genius now because his personnel department seems bent on him playing D with something seemingly less than even spare parts from picked over scrapheap leftovers? When's the last time they retained (or even played with) a shutdown corner? Gaping holes on D due to attrition and/or seeming inattention. Offensive players crossing over to fill key defensive roles? Numerous failed gambles on aging paycheck players & whirlpool bubblers?

It's like they got bored with just winning and decided to play mad scientist experimenting with the old PB adage that sheer offense led by a true franchise QB outscoring the opposition is THE way of what wins you football games.
