... first, trying to compare the situation of any college freshman to some salaried employee in the 'real world' is a joke of an analogy ... if he was making money like that, he'd certainly be able to finance a flight out, whether he got reimbursed for it by anyone or not. also trying to compare the milieu of a superior college football player to any other college freshman or salaried employee is just ludicrous ... just how are their respective situations in any way related so as to make this any kind of relevant point to even be making? apparently OSU already okayed him going to this funeral and was fine with it from their standpoint, so that's clearly moot, too. Clarett's obvious emotional immaturity, the NCAA rules and the paper trail of the processing of the paperwork are the real, hard issues here (a coach probably told him they'd come up with the money for the ticket and neglected to tell him that he'd have to 'pay' (wink wink) for it upfront, only he took it that the office compliance filing person would also be the one to call and tell him to "come and get it". and the only 'tard lacking any balls to the degree of having to play the race card crutch here is Hootie.
