I may not have been in Baltimore this past weekend but I sho nuff got my fill of really bad football. Went to Charlotte with Toni and Sam for a weekend with my parents and my sister (and her family). Did a side trip to Chapel Hill with some old college buddies (who remain really cool guys 12 years later). Watched the Heels get humiliated by Clemson. Their inept brand of football certainly reminded my of a particular pro football team. Also went with my brother in law to the Panthers-Saints game on Sunday. Great game but the Panthers lost in the final minute. Of their six losses, five have been in the final four minutes. It was funny watching that crowd. The sense of doom was palpable. Just got back into town last night.

As for Toni's dad, he is doing great. They got the whole med thing worked out and while he's still having some troubles, it's managable and probably nothing worse than what most chemo patients experience. Things look awesome on the chemo front. He's responded so well that they think he's a perfect candidate for a bone marrow transplant which would offer the hope for a cure. Thanks much for asking.
