... i might be a little off on the dates he coached. Jean & i graduated in '81, i believe maybe before or right about the time little brother MG would have started college, so that would put him getting his first jobs ca late '80s.
i didn't know him at all & i only heard about him coaching from the papers ... i think i once told a story in these parts of a guy i played rugby with who married a girl from Paris (this would have been around the time Tayshaun Prince was at UK, ca late '90s), whom the 1st time i met her i asked if she knew him & she (quite drunk) blurted out she 'dated' (only she said "f-d") him while a student, which had apparently led to quite the scandal & the apparent early demise of his teaching/coaching career.
later on that evening she cornered me and told me i was "scary" for 'making' her say that out loud or something, hence me being the scaryman ....
