Hey gals! Heard from Pep this AM...she's using Tanya's computer because she doesn't have hers up and running yet...the cable guy 'missed' her house and believe me, she isn't too happy about it! LOL! They are okay and will be in touch when the cable is up and running.

Hey, L.O.L....I'm sorry to hear that GHOM isn't doing too well. Give him my best! Carl and I are fine and yes, still enjoying retirement! Did you know he bought a Harley and now thinks he's Mr. Motorcycle?? LOL! He loves to ride and I ride on the back when the weather is nice. It needs to be ALOT cooler for me to enjoy the ride in AZ though!! Steph, Chad and the boys moved here to Goodyear, AZ from CA a couple of years ago. It's about 50 miles from us and we see them a little more often, but with the gas prices the way they are, most of us are staying pretty close to home most of the time! We're going out there for a bbq on October 1st and it will be great to see them! We talk on the phone and of course, still email! Cole, her oldest, is graduating from HS this year! Is that hard to believe???? The twins are 13 and in Jr. Hi. It just blows me away to think she has grown kiddos!!!

Well...stay in touch! Nice to hear from you! Here's a recipe we got from Judy, I think...it's a keeper for sure!

Cowboy Caviar

Great as a dip for tortilla chips, as a filling for tortillas or
tostadas, or just as a side salad.

2 tbs.. red wine vinegar
1-1/2 tbs. salad oil
1 tsp. Tabasco
3/4 tbs. chopped garlic
1 avocado, diced (omit, if desired...I always use avocado)
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained, or black-eyed peas
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
2/3 cup chopped green onions
1 bunch cilantro (I use about 1/4 cup chopped)
3 or 4 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
salt and pepper to taste

Combine first 4 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients except avocado and mix well. Add avocado just before serving. Chill. Can be made several hours or a day ahead.
