Wow there Jimmy. I was at the Water Rats too, Ten Benson are better now than they've ever been. It's a live gig, that's the difference. It's not supposed to be like listening to an album. The new guys in the band give Benson more weight and energy than humanly possible.They fucking blew me and (almost) everyone else away. Keep it up big boys. x

Indeed Benson are better now then ever, and no, it's not the same musically as when duncan n nap were members, but it's certainly a lot heavier, and what I gather, the heaviest is yet to come! I certainly don't think you could ever justify calling them dull!! It's nice to see some constructive crit up here however, and i do get jimmy's point, as the 2 times i've seen james brown perform, he's spoilt it for me by hammering through about 40 tunes in an hour, when the whole point of the tunes in the first place were that they had a chilled groove!! It's nice to see the board busying up a little, new faces n new fans n stuff!! #
