Subject: Low Light Plants -

Joe, that's exactly my aim - to grow the plants that need the least light (but which of course grow even better with good light). So I have Aspidistras (variegated and plain), Dracena marginata, Dracena deremensis (variegated), and four different Rubber plants (Ficus), keeping the window-sills for succulents I really value and Sansevierias, even though I believe they could cope easily with even less light. Inside even these plant families there are enough varieties and colours to keep anyone happy. Last year I used Billbergias, and I have just added Streptocarpus and Spider-plant 'Bonny' because she takes up less room than the normal variety.

Don't forget Philodendrons, Maggie! There are some spectacularly LARGE-leafed beauties, out there!
