Winter hasn't arrived yet, except for two cold days the week before last - it's warm again this morning, 7.30 in the morning - the biggest problem this part of Ireland is just the damp -and it doesn't even get as wet as Kerry or the West.
My succulents are all indoors, either in the greenhouse or in the house here at my elbow; the houseplants are in the bathroom or in their corners of the kitchen - tender annuals like Petunias and Geraniums are still flourishing outside, the grass growing ankle-deep and the perennials still tall though mainly green. The tubs of fuchsias are the best at the moment, flowering their heads off still - but the winter-blooming Mahonia and Viburnum are also loaded with blossom; all sorts of resolutions for a neater garden crowd my mind -

hard to belive your still warm way up there maggie,but i dont doutb you,micro climets do that.
less demanding in a way liz,but when watering periods are farther and fewer between i tend to miss more often,so in another way its more demanding.
were still ok down here,its in the 40s at night and 80s in the day.its been beautiful.
