Of course, my warm and your warm are probably not quite the same thing, Denny. One particular American was amused in mid-summer because I said I was worn-out with the heat (18 - 20 degrees for a few days running), and what I mean by warm now is from 10 to 12 degrees - but that's fine enough for me. I know it will take frost to snuff-out the petunias, etc.. Most of the trees are bare now, and I light the fire every day.

You're right, Denny. Not having to water as often means things I'd see otherwise might be missed. Sometimes that's not so good. I think it's time to bring in my amaryllis bulb and get it going again. Maybe too late for Xmas blooms, but that's alright. Any spot of color in winter is oh so welcome.
