How is everyone doing?
I haven't checked in here for a while, but I have a somewhat funny story to tell.
I was at a local pub last night watching a boxing match on tv. On the bottom of the screen it said that the Flames had re-signed Jason Weimer. I was happy.
My buddy then said, "I can't believe that they signed Dave Lowry."
I decided to add my two cents, so I replied, "I can't believe they signed that bum Mike Vernon."
The guys at the table beside us burst out laughing, so my buddy says, "You guys don't like him either?"
It turns out that one of the guys at that table is a member of Mike Vernon's family. Luckily he had a sense of humour about it and he just said, "That's why I can't understand why he decided to play here."
