I am a memeber of the Screen Actors Guild, and ALL famous actors have a SAG card. And just because you have a SAG card, dosen't mean you have admission to the Oscars. There are approximately 90,000 members of the Screen Actors Guild, and as of 1996, according to the Screen Actors Guild, 85% of its members made less than $5,000.00 for that year. Pretty stiff competition. And although Ali may make more than $5,000.00 a year, she will have to start studying her butt off and hit some major motion pictures and give Oscar worthy performances to attend the Oscars. Unless of course, she is someones date that is a nominee, she is a presenter, or she is an usher at the Oscars. (Which I highly doubt she'd do this.) So that's how that cookie crumbles.
