Ali is too short to model editorially, yes, but commercially you can model and be 3 feet. No, she is not 4'9" for sure, she is from what I remember a little shorter than me, and I am 5'7. So I would say she is probably around 5'5" or 5'6". That is considered short for industry standards, but average forfilm and television standards. Sylvester Stallone is such a shorty, as well as others like Sarah Jessica Parker for example, that they wear platform type shoes to make themselves look larger than they really are. So next time you watch a movie, and it looks like the main characters are about the same height, I'd bet, thay might not be, because wardrobe was probably responsible for adding height to one of the actors to make them even out with the other actor. But then again, sometimes, the director likes it that the actors are so different in height.
