Yeah,
It was a great "joke" by Aimee but it is fundamentally flawed. It even had me laughing, but you didn't give me the opportunity to reply to it as you ran off. If i was drowning it would be very difficult for me to do anything about it at all, or else i would have swam away. So it wasn't really very thought out was it? If someone wanted to drown me, they would make sure i couldn't save myself. If a boat was to sink then a life jacket would be sufficient to keep me afloat. Or alternatively i would be dependent on somebody else to save me with a rubber ring or whatever other means they have. As for the "God, that was good" comment. I really don't know if God would have found that joke to be good. Or were you in fact telling God that the joke was good? Commas are very important as they can alter the entire meaning of a sentence.
