Hannah,
I wasn't ordering you do anything i was merely asking you a question. So you got A* in Religion, so did i. I even got a C for A Level which i am quite pleased with. So you've lost your religion but why totally condemn it? The Bible can teach a lot of things but the main thing that it teaches is about love.
What does it teach about Homosexuals? Why you can learn a lot from reading about King David's relationship with Jonathan.
Women? The bible values women. All the good women in the old Testament and in the New Testament - Elizabeth, Mary, Marhta.
Single Mothers? well the New Testament was written 2000 years ago and there doesn't seem to be much about Single Mothers because it emphasized family life.

I could go on and on but it is not going to achieve anything. I haven't lost my faith but i do find church services a little boring. But fundamentally i still believe in God and that his intention was to make the world a better place. The circumstances and context of the bible have changed has as a lot of things over the last 2000 years, and i believe that a literal interpretation is not possible in this day and age. This is why i read between the lines and take what good there is in the holy book.

Ok, subject is now closed.
Kevin.
xxxxxx
