Subject: Tara's death

In all honesty, I believe that Joss Whedon and the writers made a huge mistake in killing Tara. Not only did she supply a balance for Willow--and a goal--but her relationship with Willow was extraordinary. I don't think I have ever seen a TV couple more in love than those two. Killing Tara was worse than killing Buffy, and she's the star of the show! Whedon can add characters--Anya, Tara, Spike, Dawn, etc--but he shouldn't take them away. It is far too depressing. What would have been better would, say, Tara getting shot but NOT dying. She is not only Willow's light, but the audience's love her. She has countless websites dedicated to her (Amber Benson) and what is supposed to happen with those now that she is gone? Even though I am female, and my favourite people are Willow and Tara, I am not homosexual. They are an inspiration due to their openness and love--and they act it more real, I think, than any other Tv couple, gay or straight! Just to put personal feelings into this, I think 'Buffy' will loose some of its, no, LOTS of its audience because of Tara's death. It would loose me too if I weren't so curious as to what will happen in Season 7.

Very Angry and hoping Joss Whedon
sees this, Willowood_witch :(

I have just read all the comments and knew i had to reply to this message mainly, i totally agree with Lauren's comments, huuuuuuge mistake of Joss Whedon and the writers, not only to make the characters unhappy but they have made all the viewers unhappy as well, please lets hope they see sense and somehow bring her back - maybe her death has triggered some magic she didnt know she had and brings her back - dunno just an idea. Im not gay either but you can feel the love between Willow & Tara and i think if its possible to show that in a programme why not carry it on! It gives everyone a little boost to see people happy remember! Willow, Xander, Buffy, Dawn, Giles, Anya and Spike are all equally as good so please dont kill them off either, it was a brilliant season with everything that went on with tara, from the helping buffy, teasing spike, looking after dawn and the break up/get together thing with willow its been great viewing so lets have some intelligence and bring it back again please.
I too would stop watching if i wasnt as bigger fan as i was and im hoping willow will be ok, also lets see Dawn have some scooby action considering she's apparently set to take over from buffy when she goes. I hope the writers will read this and stop torturing us with no more Tara! Alyson Hannigan definately deserves a mention for her brilliant acting, as does Amber Benson who also clearly shows hers, so lets see more of them!... PLEASE!

*Miserable :o( Hoping & Hanging in there, Buffy fan*
