Subject: The virus and the vaccine

Hello,

I wonder if any of you read the article in the February 2000 Atlantic Monthly entitled, "The Virus and the Vaccine." It discusses SV40, a contaminated polio vaccine given to 98 million Americans between 1955 to 1963. It has been
implicated in some cancers of the lining of the chest and lung---similar to that caused by asbestos--and maybe brain and bone cancers.

You can read the article online at www.atlanticmonthly.com. Go to the archives for the Feb. 2000 issue where you will see the article. The long online article is in three parts.

Interesting stuff. Perhaps this was discussed here before and I missed it.

Helen
