Subject: Polio and Headaches

Can anyone tell me if chronic headaches could be a result of the polio virus. I had polio at six months old and am now 42 and have suffered from headaches as long as I can remember. My left leg was affected - it is very weak and have had numberous operations over the years to correct my walking and then to correct the damage from too many operations. THe doctor's always say the headaches are due to stress. I don't believe this as I cannot be stressed out 24/7. I wake up and go to bed with a headache. Sometimes they are worse due to weather conditions. I was also diagnosed with PPS 4 years ago. Nothing works for the headaches other than taking Tylenol #3 or something stronger. The only thing so far that I've taken that seems to help a bit is Vioxx (funny enough that it's a anti-flammatory drug). Does anyone have any evidence that headaches could be a result of having had polio? Even though I have been diagosed with PPS I feel like I've been abandoned - my doctor doesn't take me seriously or at least that's the impression I get.
Thank you.
Sue
