what would be the best way tro introduce this subject to a completely fresh group of medical specialists?
where could one get goood animations to make the topic more interesting?:

Impressive -- Igor Paprotny, 21:29:06 10/12/00 Thu (ss4-04.inre.asu.edu/129.219.100.69)

This is truly impressive work! And the fact that it is online makes it possible for poor students like me to get easy access to it. Great!

The number of references is really astonishing. I am currently conducting research in an attempt to characterize the impacts of communication between synergetic nano-devices with respect to their performance. Some (many!) of the references seem potentially useful for my work. Is there any way we can take a look at the list, or do we need to buy the book?

Again, very nice indeed!

Errors -- Rob Virkus, 17:29:16 07/11/00 Tue (news.ti.com/192.94.94.33)

Negative exponents missing and words running together
make it hard to read this book online. I know these
are just formatting errors and not technical errors
but I encourage you to fix them as many people will
see this book online.

Thanks,

Rob Virkus

General Feedback -- Paul Matthew McDermott, 00:09:22 06/27/00 Tue (dyn-24-22.dialin.uq.net.au/203.100.24.22)

Crikey, how did Freitas write this thing?! I thought I didn't get out much, he must be a slave to his desktop. Like Nanosystems and Engines Of Creation before it, it has astounded and encouraged me. Rational humans are clever enough to sort out their problems, and as a new Engineering student I hope to join this noble venture. It's early days of course, but that just means there's bound to be more competition for being the first to develop these capabilities. Though I have found the Maths/Science daunting (but fascinating) after coming from an Education/Arts career, it seems to me that working to understand the book is the least I can do. In the process I can get a jump ahead of my colleagues! I look forward to seeing the other volumes in print, and a popular work some time after that. With the announcement of the Human Genome rough draft today, I hope that a new wave of support and interest for this marvellous prospect will occur. For mine, I'm eager to get a BSc in Nanotechnology and join the adventure! Those in Australia might like to check out the link below, to Flinders University's BSc (Nano) programme. One plus of the coming era in health care is that the societally fashionable deadline to stop fooling about with learning and just make a living is over! Just as well, I doubt I'll be up to speed on all this for a decade or so at the earliest! :-)

Brilliant -- Chris Cunningham, 13:00:42 06/22/00 Thu (click-cl4-cache3.ilford.mdip.bt.net/213.120.56.41)

A fantastic book published in the way all books of this type should be. This will provide great material for all medical nanotechnologists. It has convinced me that this is what I want to be.
Along with NANOSYSTEMS, this is the best technical book on nanotechnology you will find.
Thankyou all for helping to make a better future for our planet.

Truly Wonderful -- Jeremy Heesch, 22:12:01 04/25/00 Tue (ip39.ts7.phx.inficad.com/208.198.103.39)

I've been looking forward to this book for a long time. For someone starting their studies in Biological Engineering as I am right now at Arizona State University, this book is very exciting, and the fact that it has been published online for free use should prove very helpful form me. Thank you so much, and good luck to all.

Putting the text of a book online FREE is a bold and noble move. I am sure this book will come to be regarded as a milestone in nanotech progress.
Congratulations and good luck!

Finally, it's here. -- Andrew Marek, 04:18:06 04/20/00 Thu (c-engine8.ten.cz/195.178.64.186)

Long time i was waiting for someone, who will collect the informations about nanotechnology and present them in a human-friendly manner. I especially appreciate the contens and informational value of this online book. I only wish, that the progress in nanomedicine will be as fast as possible. Only then, the humankind will have a brighter future.
Bravo!

Nice site ! wonderful ! -- Jonathan Desp, 14:34:05 04/04/00 Tue (NoHost/209.226.219.171)

I hope we will get further development for Nanomedicine, in hardware too, not just documents..

Nanomedicine Web site -- Lana K. Moore, 05:45:13 03/30/00 Thu (NoHost/209.217.161.1)

The Nanomedicine site is up and ready for comment. At this time I welcome ALL comments about the site. I will work through them individually whenever I get the chance. There are a few items that need work (tables, equations, dashes, typos, etc), but if you see something and/or have a suggestion, please feel free to most a message on this board. Eventually, it is my hope that you will use this board to discuss Nanomedicine by Robert A. Freitas Jr.

Thank you for your patience,

Lana K. Moore
