The just text banners I did with the logo maker, and anything with a picture on it I did in photoshop. I dunno your version, or if this works in all versions (I run 6.0) but if you go to the layers window and click on the text layer, up above it a bit will be a little round button with a > arrow thing on it. Click on that, and go up to blending options, and there you can do drop shadows, gradient fills, highlights, all that good jazz that makes it 3D..
