you've got to name the frames... Yes, name 'em... try www.webmonkey.com - they have great examples and guides to frame-building...

you go, when you're doing your tag, the one that comes after frameset (frame, is it?), name="nameithere" - just like font when you change colors, only with a different thing to put in a different tag...

Like so:
>frame name="left"<

And then, when you're doing your contents on your frame page, you do the typical link business, only you add in this little thingy here:
target="whereuwantlinktoload"
So you've got this:
>a href="frame.html" target="left"<

And voila, frame.html should load in the frame named left... I know this stuff, really, really well. And partially thanks to webmonkey, partially thanks to trial and error (it took me forever to get this right)... The >< things go in the opposite directions, but you can guess that, right? Anywho, if you need any help with frames, don't hesitate to ask... I'd be happy 2 help... Or consult webmonkey - they help all the time with everything with their guides... Java, javascript, programming, frames, tables, html... Verry handy site.
sry if this was confusing at all... I'll clarify if you got confused
