Subject: Answers... An'kor...

First, what made me change the game and why did I spring it on you? Well, I wanted to change it, because, though Camelot was cool, it was rather lacking in anything to do aside from wander around or take months to get trained in something, and a lot of the boards were inactive. Blue Fire and the Mage school had plenty of people, but the Tor had one trainee, the Collegium about four total (don't have a number), and the Sacred Grove not even one. Anthalan was mostly dead; Guin was probably the only active one on there. Lothlorien *now* had a bunch of people, but only because of the Queen contest. Fairfield and Stonegate were mostly dead, and there were a bunch of boards that had fallen by the wayside. An'kor is a game in which you can do all the stuff you could in Camelot (get trained n stuff) with a few modifications, but you can be so much more. It'll be similar to Castle Camelot in a lot of ways, but still very different. Mainly I changed it because I could not come up with a way to adequately reform Camelot and have it still be Camelot, so... now it's An'kor. Why did I spring it? Because I didn't want anyone to say, "well, since you're closing it anyways, I won't bother." That, and about four or five hours elapsed from when I got the idea for An'kor (with the help of my trusty friends) and when it was up and Camelot down. I am still building the world, but, unlike a lot of games, An'kor did not take days before it could go live.

Assassins: Yes, Guin may still be Assassin, and Zahra and A'Na as well. Those positions were adequately earned. I hope to get the Guild up ASAP.

Kingdoms will not come back, the name Sylvanestri was used because I like the name, and not because it is a reincarnation of the kingdom. There will be no kingdoms in An'kor, because I think that kingdoms need rulers, and there is no way to adequately do that... royalty decisions now are rather arbitrary, and are permanent until that character dies, or fades, and has too much power (or too little, depending on how you see it) for an arbitrary decision. There will be no royalty (kings, queens, princes, princesses) but there will be nobility, and that will have to be earned on merits alone. I will encourage people to marry into noble families, and to reward those people that are active and good players. Not all towns will be ruled by Councils. The Human town of Solan will, at least for the time being, and perhaps Sylvanestri as well... It may turn out that if one noble family resides there, they somehow take control of the town...

I am not against corruption, coercian, or anything else in this game. I will personally see to it that there are kidnappers, robbers, et al roaming the roads to liven things up, and provide some job oppertunities for willing mercenaries.

The reason I didn't keep Camelot and add An'kor is because they both cover the same genre of fantasy... I dislike overlap in my games, as it forces players who have time for just one RPG to choose between Camelot and An'kor, and An'kor will not be a good game unless it has plenty of people.

The new Guardian will not have such a hard time of it as it seems, as I am eliminating points for posting and instead instituting a reward system for various actions (victorious attack, successful defense, a peace treaty, whatever) and whenever someone accomplishes one of those things, they fill out the form with their character's name and the board on which it is located, and the Guardian will go check it out.... no points unless the Guardian is notified... and now it becomes the player's responsibility to make sure they get points.

Guin, Katrina, Chloe, and any other ladies we have running around do not get to keep the title, as the reason they recieved it in the first place was not dependant on skill, other than winning the contest. Nobility in An'kor is hard to earn.

Sorry about the Inn and the blacksmith, how about putting both of those in Solan? I was needing a blacksmith and inn there... if you are interested, I would ask that you put it in the same format as the other boards for consistancy's sake, and if so, please let me know... I have the URLs to both, if you need 'em...

Malakeh: Really sorry about all the hoops I made you jump through; I did not yet know I was changing the game. Castle Camelot is no more...

Erm, outta stuff to say... any further questions I'd be happy to answer, I was expecting a certain amount of outraged feedback... I did kinda spring it on ya...

Anyways, An'kor is my baby, and I hope it'll be the best, and it is still a fledgeling game, so please, any suggestions and stuff you have would be welcomed...
